Creativity Exercise 3: Awareness, Sensory and Experience

The Rules

The next creativity exercise is in the Awareness, Sensory and Experience category. The exercise asks that I spend at least part of my day in pantomime. My first instinct was to skip this creativity exercise and go on to the next one. I'm not a very people-ly person. However, I made a commitment, and for the sake of remaining true to my word, I’m going to do my best.

Option 1

As if on cue, my crazy uncle sends me a text. “What are your plans for tomorrow?” Well, well, well, I just found my homework partner. Later, in the day, I’m supposed to pick up my new car from the dealership. Wouldn’t it be more interesting to try to complete that task in pantomime.

Option 2

I have a young son, who has been non-verbal his entire life. At first I believe it was a phase that he would eventually outgrow. But recently, he was diagnosed with autism and now we must come to terms with the real possibility that he may never talk. Now I wonder, how will he purchase a car in the future or how will he navigate the world without speaking.

Option 3

Tomorrow is my little cousin's sweet 16th birthday party. This exercise sounds a lot like a game of charades.

Which option would you choose?
