  What I learned about design This week was the first week of my Graphic Design Theory course at Keiser University. During my first week a lot of new information was introduced and reintroduced regarding design and design software. Particularly, Photo Shop, is a program I have played around with on my own in the past but moved away from because I found it too complicated. Normally, I work on my designs in Procreate. This week, I created three business card designs in Photo Shop. Assignment 1a Assignment 1b Assignment 1c Admittedly, most of my design time was spent learning the user interface of PhotoShop and how to use a Mac computer. It was a bit frustrating, I confess. However, I completed the assignments and I am satisfied with the results. 

Creativity Exercise 1 - Imagination

I enjoy physical exercise. I go to the gym regularly, but rarely do I exercise my creative muscles...if ever. So I picked up a book from my graphics design theory class entitled, Whole Lotta Creativity Going On by Regina Pacelli. The book contains 60 different exercises, divided into 10 different categories. Exercise one is an exercise in imagination. While I cannot give away the beginning of the exercise, below is my completion of the given prompt from my imagination.  Megan freaks out. She opened her eyes and looked down. "Don't look down, don't look down." her friends tried to help Megan calm down. "Just breath, Meg", she heard a friend shout.
